Photograph of the Factory at Rajapur from the 'Album of architectural and topographical views, mostly in South Asia' taken by an unknown photographer c.1909. The Rajapur Factory is situated on the Konkan Coast between Bombay and Goa. It was established in 1660 by the English East India Company and placed under the charge of Henry Revington. Conflict with the Maratha leader Shivaji over Rajapur resulted in the abandonment of the factory several decades later.
