Arnala Fort — a fort surrounded by the sea!-Virar west

🏰 Arnala Fort — a fort surrounded by the sea!
Located in Palghar district of Maharashtra, Arnala Fort is known for its unique architecture and its position amidst the sea.
📜 What is its history?
🔹 The fort was built in 1516 by the Sultan of Gujarat, Mahmud Begada.
🔹 Due to its proximity to the sea, the fort was important for coastal security and monitoring maritime routes.
🔹 Over time, it came under the control of the Portuguese, Marathas, Mughals, and Peshwas.
🔹 Inside the fort, there are several temples and a well. Despite being surrounded by the sea, it has a water source, which is a special feature.
🔹 Its walls and bastions still tell the story of the fort's fortification from the olden days.
Today, Arnala Fort is not just an old building, but a symbol of Maharashtra's maritime history.
💬 What do you think — is it easy to attack a fort surrounded by the sea or is it difficult?
